Sonja’s “With a J” Jalapeño Jam Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cayenne peppers
  • 3 jalapeños
  • 2 cups strawberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup white wine (preferably from Sonja’s toaster oven)
  • 1 tbsp pection
  • 1 pinch salt

Method
 

  1. Finely dice peppers, removing seeds and ribs for less heat.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan.
  3. Bring to a boil, then simmer until the mixture has thickened.
  4. Pour into sterilized jars while hot.

Notes

  • Refrigerate immediately.
  • Use within 3-4 weeks.
  • The jam will thicken more as it cools.
